The Csikós riding show is an interesting and exceptional programme at the northern shore of the Balaton, for it can usually be seen only in the real Puszta. During the 60 minute show you get an impression of the life and the traditions of the Hungarian "horse-herdsmen", who are called "Csikós" in Hungarian.

The field where the show takes place (see photo above) is situated close to our farm, in the middle of a picturesque area of vineyards.Watch the herdsmen at their work with the horses, used to riding without saddle and stirrups, skillfully handling the whip. They show that it is with patience and sensitivity that the horses can best be leaded. You will admire the dressage exercises and the skill games which the Csikós partly invented during their everyday life and work out in the Puszta.

The famous "Puszta fiver" is the main attraction of the show. It is also called "Hungarian post" or "Koch- fiver".

The cart consists of five horses, three in front and two behind. The idea for this cart comes from a painting of the Austrian painter A. Koch, who loved Hungary and the Puszta. It is in his imagination that the "fiver" was invented…

The guests are welcomed with a drink at their arrival. Afterwards, they are taken to the field by carriage. During the show, fresh Pogácsa and wine are offered.
